BEA SAIÁNS
Bea describes her experience during the residency as follows: “During my stay at Do Picho, I dedicated time to research, getting to know the local community, and developing my artistic practice. Throughout this period, I had the opportunity to speak with people from the Palas de Rei area, such as Mónica Cea and zOe iriARTE, participate in various community events and gatherings, including a tribute to the life and music of Catuxa Salom, during which the Catuxa Salom Room within the residency was inaugurated, and share my work in an event at Do Picho.
In that event, I spoke about both previous works and some of the lines of research that shape my current work. The residency allowed me to dedicate time to reflection, prepare for the European Film Market (EFM) at the Berlinale, which I later attended, integrate into the natural and social environment, and begin to imagine projects that will continue to develop in the coming years.”
